Property Location: Kolonahe Hale is located in the upcountry area of Kula. Just a few minutes from Makawao Town or Pukalani, Kula sits on the side of Haleakala, looking down over the central valley. The views of the South Shore are off to the left, and the North Shore to the right. Although Kula is considered a rural atmosphere, there is a gas station/hardware store, and a small country corner store close by. Take a quick drive to "Grandma's" for delicious morning coffee and muffins, or try lunch or dinner at Kula Lodge (known for its' spectacular views)! The Pukalani golf course is just a few minutes by car.
Beaches: The North Shore is a quick ten to fifteen minute drive down the hill (see beaches shown below). The North Shore beaches are beautiful, but can be windy in the summer. Wave season on the North Shore is fall/winter/spring. These beaches are more "local", and you will definitely not feel like a "tourist". The swimming beaches of Kihei, Wailea and Makena are located on the South Shore, and will be approximately 30 to 45 minutes by car.
